Eligible Applicants:
- Citizens of an African country
- Refugees or displaced youth in Africa
- Rwandans can also apply to benefit from the national scholarship quota
- Academically qualified
- Demonstrate a commitment to leadership and community engagement
- 28 years old or younger at the time of application
- Age limit of 30 for those with certified proof of a protracted life condition (such as refugees or single mothers)
Applicant Requirements:
- Applicants must have already been admitted to one of the eligible undergraduate programs at the University of Rwanda and have a UR Reference number.
- The program is not open to continuing students or those who currently hold other scholarships.
Scholarship Coverage:
- Full tuition fees
- Fully paid on-campus accommodation
- A laptop and learning materials
- An annual return ticket allowance

Important Information
- There are no fees or intermediaries required at any stage of the application process.
- Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an oral interview.
- Unannounced on-site validation visits to the homes of selected students may occur.
- The scholarship is subject to annual renewal based on satisfactory academic performance.
- Successful applicants are expected to become transformative leaders and remain in close communication with the university for at least five years after graduation.
